I was at the peak of my career as a corporate investment banker in Amsterdam and London, but my health was failing me.

Which brought me to functional nutrition, work wellness, total healing of my symptoms, and the best health and vitality ever, well into my forties.

In my teen years, I battled extreme depression, disordered eating and suicidal ideation. When I moved to Amsterdam in my twenties and started a flourishing career in the corporate world, I felt like I had a new lease on life, and the depression subsided but never went away completely. I still dealt with body dysmorphia every day, but the eating disorders were under control. When I moved to London, the stress from my career increased and exacerbated underlying health issues. I was diagnosed with a number of autoimmune and inflammatory conditions including Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis and IBS. A lifetime of chronic stress, depression, and disordered eating had taken its toll and begun to show up in my physical health. This was only compounded by stress at work and in my personal life. There was a silver lining though. Through my illness, I was able to find my way to functional nutrition, work wellness skills, and eventually, the best health of my life. And I created a new career around helping others to heal themselves too.

EMPLOYEE WELLNESS IS PARAMOUNT TO THE SUCCESS OF EVERY COMPANY. i know what it’s like to work in a demanding corporate environment, and i’m here to share how to do it with a clear mind and good health.

In a postpandemic world, employees now expect quality of life over ‘perks’. According to Carolina Valencia, VP, Gartner

“The reality is that three shifts in the work environment have eroded the impact of the traditional Employee Value Proposition: Employees are people, not just workers: work is a subset of life, not separate from it; and value comes through feelings, not just features.”

“Now more than ever, employers must support the mental and physical well-being of their employees.”

Amanda Haster, SHRM
